Applications:
This product has Wiegand->232 and 232->Wiegand functions at the same time, and automatically converts according to the signal source, such as: data is input by the RS232 interface, and automatically output by the Wiegand port;

1). Wiegand 26/34 input -> RS232 serial output
It is suitable for the need to convert the Wiegand output signal of the device to serial output, such as: access control IC card reader, magnetic card reader, barcode reader, fingerprint access control machine, face recognition machine, etc. The converted output data can be accessed Computer serial port, through general serial port debugging software or super terminal to observe the results. Users can also process the data output by the serial port through their own development software.
2). RS232 (serial port) input -> Wiegand 26/34 output
It is suitable for the need to convert the serial signal output by the device into Wiegand output, such as IC/ID card reader, computer serial port, RFID reader, QR code scanner, barcode scanner, fingerprint scanner, etc., the converted Wiegand output It can be directly connected to the access controller that supports WG26/34 on the market.
The installation and use of the converter

The converter needs to use 9-15V/50mA power supply. If you connect to the access controller, you can directly use the 12V power supply of the Wiegand input port of the access controller, and the static working current is about 20mA. If the Wiegand interface card reader is connected, the power supply can be shared with the card reader. Users can also connect an external 9-12v power adapter for power supply.
3) Convert the input and output format of the data
Users can choose to purchase the corresponding products according to the equipment they need to convert. If the user is not clear about the equipment, it is best to communicate with the developer before buying to avoid unnecessary mistakes.
A. Hexadecimal (HEX) input and output
When the output of the converted device is hexadecimal, this product can be selected. Since WG26/34 can only recognize up to 4 bytes, the input/output of the converted device should be within this range.

B. Text (ASCII code) input and output
This product can be selected when the input/output of the application device is text data. After the Wiegand 26/34 data input converter, output up to 10 ASCII code numbers from the RS232 interface, such as: 1234567890, or input up to 10 digits into the RS232 interface, and then output Wiegand signals on the Wiegand interface.
If you send the text "1234567890" to the serial port of the converter from the serial port of the computer, the Wiegand output of the converter is connected to the door] The controller will see the card number "1234567890" on the prohibition management software. If it is a barcode scanner Output "11223344" to the serial port of the converter, and the card number corresponding to the swiping card will also be "11223344".
Similarly, when the converted device is Wiegand output, the converter will output the corresponding text information on the serial port. For example, the card number read by the ID card reader is "1234567890", and the serial output of the converter is the text "1234567890".
4. Wiring method of converter
A. Connect to the computer serial port
The converter (female) can be connected to the serial port of the computer through a serial port extension cable, or directly connected to the USB port of the computer using a USB to serial cable, such as when using a laptop.
